I saw my first Havanese on the Internet while doing a search for a toy breed to love. I started with Bichon Frise, but in doing the research the charming Havanese came up and when I saw those faces and the long, flowing hair, I just fell in love immediately. I had been showing and raising Newfoundland dogs (I guess I just love HAIR) for many, many years with modest success, but had been without show dogs for over ten years while pursuing my profession, when the Havanese bug bit me.
My Havanese include, RICOSuave, ChaCha and LaPerlita, better known as Pearlie. RICO was registered as a silver brindle, but he has lots of red in his coat; ChaCha is a black parti girl, and Pearlie is a silver sable. RICO and ChaCha are AKC Champions and Pearlie is working on hers.
I have been married to a WONDERFUL man for 44 years, who supports me in all of my adventures, and still likes me.
