[Pura Vida]

Okay, so I've got the same problem as before - I cannot get any photos to load. I've looked to attach files around 1.4 and as small as 470 kb. Of course, I'm trying to upload in jpeg. Then I figured perhaps it is my browser (Safari) so I moved over to Foxfire and got the same result. I changed color spaces - hey, who knows? - and that didn't do anything. I even moved the photos onto my laptop which only has Leopard on it (as opposed to Snow Leopard on my desktop). Nope. Then I went to an older version of Lightroom but that did nothing also. I even thought I'd try one of the recommended downloads that someone on the forum used to downsize my photos but that was PC only! Besides I don't think it is a sizing issue.


No matter what I do, I get the same results - it gets hung up after the first upload and hangs forever. If I'm really lucky, it then tells me the upload failed. Is it possible that there is some kind of incompatibility with Mac? Is there something about coming from a Costa Rican IP address?? The thing that gets me is that I had no trouble the first time or two I uploaded photos and then the last time as well as this I can't get them to load at all.

Any ideas? I am completely frustrated. To be honest, this is why I haven't bothered to post anymore shots of Picasso since it is impossible for me to do so! I have now spent two hours or more attempting to do this tonight. I would love for you all to see my little guy but at this point, I've no idea how it will happen.

Deborah, I don't run Mac but I know Carolina does so hopefully she can help you figure out what is going on. I know she does posts all her pictures from her flickr account, maybe that would work better for you also?

I'm using a Mac and it seems to work for me.
Yes try Flickr and Mac.

Even Flickr is not easy - it comes up from Mexico and is only in Spanish, a language I don't know well enough to navigate through the various instructions. I will have to see if there is a way for me to find it in English.

So if Mac isn't the issue, then it perhaps it is the foreign country thing. Well, I will spend more time investigating. Thanks for your help so far - still needing more!!

On the bottom of the Flickr home page you can pick which ever language you want

I will look again but didn't see it on this particular page. It actually comes from Yahoo Mexico so perhaps it isn't there. However, I will check once more. Then I will look to see if I can get into the US site. Coming from a foreign ISP provides all sorts of challenges!

Having said all that, I just tried it again and this time it came up with the US site - in English!!! Go figure! So off to Flickr land I go, I go!

Okay, a few quirks to work out, like signing up for a yahoo account in Spanish because it is a Mexican site, but I got it done. I can now Flickr my stuff onto the forum. A bit more work, but overall I'm quite happy with it since it does give a bit more flexibility!

I can't view pictures that everyone is discussing! All I see is "Attached Thumbnails" on my Mac. Any advice for this newbie?

I'm sorry, I know nothing about the Mac, but I hope others can suggest something. You should still be able to see pictures though. Strange!

I am on a mac right now and the pictures come up for me. Are you logged into the forum while looking? I know I have been on the computer and realized I wasn't logged in when I couldn't see pictures. Is it all the threads or just one specifically?

I don't have a Mac but am hoping Amanda's advice helped. We just did an upgrade too so if logging in isn't the problem, try clearing your cookies and cache and then re-log in and see if that helps.

On Macs----if you use "zoom in" to view the text at a larger size the photos will appear to be thumbnail size

Still not seeing pictures on my Mac. I'm logged in, and used zoom in with control and two fingers scrolling up on the mousepad. *sigh*
