This is my first post to Havanese talk. I am awaiting the arrival of my new baby who should be conceived (is that a proper word?) in May and I hope to bring home in August, His name will be Bubba. Since the passing of my dear yellow Lab, Simon, last year - I have been researching for another dog and have commited to a Havanese from a local breeder. From all accounts Havanese are bright, affectionate and loyal. I hope to exchange stories and advice from members of the Forum. Thanks and I welcome any comments and suggestions since May is not that far off. Bubba's Mom.

Welcome to HT! Sorry about the passing of Simon - it's always so hard to lose our beloved pets. I think you will fall in love with the havanese like we all have...they are funny, bright little dogs.

Welcome to HT Bubba's mom. Sorry to hear about you Lab, Simon. I know your new little one with bring lots of joy to your life. Keep us updated on the progress, May is not that far away but once it is here it is going to feel like forever for those puppies to be born, we can certainly keep you entertained while you wait and no one hear will get sick of you talking about your upcoming puppy

Leeann is right! You can talk about Bubba as much as you want and we won't get tired of hearing about him! Also, if the breeder sends you pictures after he is born, be sure to share them with us! We LOVE pictures.

Oh my! I remember the wait all too well! It was so exciting but also excrutiating waiting for my pup to be born and wondering which one might be mine! Most of us here found shopping for puppy to be a good way to pass the time lol! I can't wait until there are pictures to share of Bubba.
