Hi everybody! I'm new here and I've been reading all of your informative posts. I don't have a hav yet, but I've contacted a breeder and I feel very ready to bring a puppy home. I'm so excited, but I'm scared that I will be rejected by the breeder! I think I'm just being insane.
I'll be sure to update when I get word back from the breeder...hopefully soon, because I am super excited!

Waiting for a puppy is a lot of anxiety but a lot of fun. Don't think of it as getting rejected by the breeder, think of it as not being a good match. A great breeder will select a very special home for each puppy. Yours may not be the right one for that puppy. If you find the right breeder, wait it out. I just brought my new little girl home last night and I waited a year to get her. Passed on many puppies in the meantime and let me tell you, good things come to those who wait in this case
