We've had him about a month and he's 5 months old. He has definitely read the "How to be a Havanese" handbook.
He's very velcro altho lately he has become a little more confident and independent. He does the RLHs and the little hippiity skippity hop dance too. And....he's a paper shredder extraordinaire!
He's such a little love bug and a snuggle bunny. We're having great fun with him.
We go to training class and I take him wherever I can so he meets as many people and dogs as possible. I think that's really helped with his self confidence. Today was his first professional grooming and he did very well. His coat so far has been very easy to care for. He loves to be combed so every evening he sits with me in the big recliner and I comb at least half of him.
I have questions about grooming and food which I will post in the appropriate places.
I know you all want pictures so I will give it a try. I'm very techno-challenged so they may end up in a separate post.

Congratulations on getting your Havanese, Rita! Riley is beautiful and sounds like so much fun. They're work, of course, all puppies are, but the joyful Havanese helps make all that a small price to pay. Thank you for sharing the great pictures. He's a doll!

Oh, I forgot to mention he does like to help with the laundry and the dishes. Also with raking leaves and pulling weeds. When I pull weeds he has to take them and shake them all around and fling them in the air.
