Hello!!! I'm the proud Mom of two of the most adorable and sweetest Havanese EVER! (Yes, I know everyone thinks their dogs are the best, but I'm serious....Mine are!! :D ) Joey is a chocolate sable and Chloe is black and white with ticking on her legs. Joey is two years 3 months old. Chloe is almost 1.5 years old. I got Joey after researching the Havanese breed and falling in love with their sweet smiling faces. It wasn't long after that I had to have another one! I've since realized that this is the case for many Havanese owners!

We had planned to have a litter of puppies once Chloe was two years old. My sister has down syndrome and is physically handicapped, and she is absolutely in love with my babies. We wanted to have a litter so she could have a puppy, but most importantly, so the puppy could know her from day one and be her best friend. Well, even though we took precautions (diapers and belly bands), Chloe and Joey had other plans! Chloe ended up pregnant at 10 months. (For the record, I felt like a horrible, irresponsible parent of a pregnant teen after we had the dreaded birds and bees conversation!) I was a NERVOUS WRECK! My baby was having babies! The vet swore up and down for the first 5 weeks of her pregnancy that it was a false pregnancy, but I finally demanded a pregnancy test and low and behold, she was pregnant! Three beautiful puppies arrived on April 11, 2011. Chloe was just as scared and nervous as I was, but we made it through delivery together, and she was the best little momma ever. Needless to say, my sister got her puppy, and Chloe got spayed as soon as the puppies had good homes.(And now she weighs a hefty 10.5lbs on her petite frame which is more than she weighed at full term pregnancy!)

My babies and I enjoy snuggling on the couch, playing fetch in the backyard (Joey fetches while Chloe tackles him when he tries to bring the ball back!), doing tricks and "dancing" for Charlie Bear treats, and most importantly, they love giving me kisses! I can't imagine life without my sweet babies. I've attached a few (ok, a LOT) of pictures of my two babies so you can all oooohhh and awwww over them! :D
